Give every opened door a number, a short visual description and a keeper’s name. The Holiday Rubber Duck Advent Calendar image shows doors 1–24, but it does not prove that every hidden duck is different; an inventory records what actually appears without making that assumption.

What goes in a reveal log?
| Door | Describe only what you see | Keeper or display spot |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Colour, headwear, printed motif or accessory | Name or location |
| 2 | Use the same order of details | Name or location |
| … | Continue through the opened doors | Keep blanks for unopened doors |
| 24 | Record after the final reveal | Name or location |
A consistent description makes duplicates and near-matches easier to notice. “Yellow duck, purple hat, white trim” is more useful than “cute one” because another person can understand the entry later.
Why not fill the log from the box art?
The front image presents examples and mystery silhouettes. Packaging artwork can guide identification, but it should not be treated as a complete contents list unless the live listing explicitly says so. Leave each line blank until its numbered door is opened.
How can several people share the calendar?
- Write all participant names before the first opening.
- Choose a turn order or a rule for assigning keepers.
- Record the door before passing the figure around.
- Photograph the figure beside its door number if the group wants a visual record.
- Use the completed inventory to plan display or storage after the countdown.
This is an inventory method, not a claim about materials, safety, figure count beyond the visible 24-door layout, or uniqueness. Check current product and age-related information on the Holiday Rubber Duck Advent Calendar product page.
